Restore Your Ancestral Nutrition
Our ancestors consumed the whole animal nose-to-tail, nourishing their bodies with specific animal parts to fortify their own. For digestive health, this meant supporting their bodies by consuming enzyme-rich organs they needed to thrive. Today, the modern diet has strayed from these traditions, leading to widespread digestive discomfort and poor nutrient absorption. It’s time we honor our ancestors by putting back in what the modern world has left out — it’s time to return to strength, health, and happiness.

Digestive Enzymes
Amylase
Amylase is a digestive enzyme that plays a key role in breaking down carbohydrates into simpler sugars, making it easier for the body to absorb and utilize energy. Produced primarily by the pancreas and salivary glands, amylase helps initiate the digestion of starchy foods like bread, pasta, and rice. Supplementing with amylase can support healthy digestion, especially for individuals with low enzyme production or difficulty digesting carbohydrates. By aiding in the efficient breakdown of food, amylase promotes smoother digestion, reduced bloating, and better nutrient absorption.
Lipase
Lipase is an essential digestive enzyme responsible for breaking down fats into smaller molecules, such as fatty acids and glycerol, which the body can absorb and use for energy. It is produced mainly by the pancreas and plays a crucial role in the digestion of dietary fats from foods like oils, butter, and meat. Supplementing with lipase can support optimal fat digestion, especially for those with low enzyme production or digestive challenges. By enhancing the breakdown and absorption of healthy fats and fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K), lipase promotes better digestion, reduces bloating, and supports overall metabolic health.
Phytase
Phytase is a specialized enzyme that helps break down phytic acid, a compound found in plant-based foods like grains, seeds, and legumes. Phytic acid can bind to important minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc, reducing their absorption in the body. By breaking down phytic acid, phytase enhances the bioavailability of these essential nutrients, making it easier for the body to absorb and utilize them. Supplementing with phytase supports better mineral absorption, promotes gut health, and can be especially beneficial for those on plant-rich diets, helping to maximize the nutritional value of whole foods.
Xylanase
Xylanase is a powerful enzyme that aids in the digestion of plant fibers, specifically hemicellulose, a major component of plant cell walls. By breaking down these complex carbohydrates into simpler sugars, xylanase helps improve the digestibility of fiber-rich foods like grains, vegetables, and legumes. This can lead to enhanced nutrient absorption, reduced bloating, and improved overall digestive health. Xylanase is particularly beneficial for individuals who struggle with digesting fibrous foods, as it helps to optimize gut function and support smoother digestion, making it easier for the body to access and utilize nutrients from plant-based foods.
Pectinase
Pectinase is a specialized enzyme that helps break down pectin, a type of fiber found in fruits like apples, pears, and citrus. By breaking down this complex carbohydrate, pectinase supports more efficient digestion of fruit and helps reduce digestive discomfort such as bloating or gas that can result from consuming high-pectin foods. Additionally, it enhances nutrient absorption and promotes a smoother digestive process. Pectinase is particularly beneficial for individuals with sensitivities to fruit fibers, as it helps make fruit easier to digest while supporting overall gut health.
Protease
Protease is a key digestive enzyme responsible for breaking down proteins into smaller peptides and amino acids, which are essential for various bodily functions such as muscle repair, immune support, and hormone production. Produced primarily by the stomach and pancreas, protease helps improve the digestion and absorption of protein-rich foods like meat, dairy, and legumes. Supplementing with protease can enhance protein digestion, reduce digestive discomfort like bloating or gas, and support optimal nutrient absorption.
Lactase
Lactase is a vital enzyme that breaks down lactose, the sugar found in milk and dairy products, into simpler sugars—glucose and galactose—allowing for easier digestion and absorption. For individuals who are lactose intolerant, a condition where the body lacks sufficient lactase, consuming dairy can lead to uncomfortable symptoms such as bloating, gas, and diarrhea. Supplementing with lactase can help alleviate these symptoms by enabling the proper digestion of lactose, allowing those with lactose intolerance to enjoy dairy products without discomfort. This enzyme promotes better digestive health and enhances nutrient absorption from dairy, supporting overall well-being.
Invertase
Invertase is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of sucrose (table sugar) into glucose and fructose, a process that transforms the more complex sugar into simpler, easily digestible forms. This enzymatic action improves sugars digestibility, making it easier for the body to absorb and utilize energy. Invertase is particularly beneficial for individuals who have difficulty processing sucrose or those looking to manage their blood sugar levels, as it helps provide a more gradual release of energy.
Hemicellulase
Hemicellulase is a specialized enzyme that breaks down hemicellulose, a complex carbohydrate found in plant cell walls and dietary fiber. By targeting this specific carbohydrate found in fibrous foods like whole grains, vegetables, and legumes, hemicellulase enhances the digestibility of plant-based foods that might otherwise cause digestive discomfort.
Cellulase
Cellulase is a powerful enzyme that breaks down cellulose, the primary structural component in plant cell walls and one of the most abundant organic compounds on Earth. Since humans naturally lack the ability to produce cellulase, supplementing with this enzyme can significantly improve the digestion of fibrous plant foods like vegetables, fruits, grains, and legumes. By breaking down cellulose into simpler sugars, cellulase enhances nutrient absorption, reduces digestive discomfort such as bloating and gas, and supports overall gut health.

Potential Issues (Accelerated Detox Reaction)
Many of our customers take Digestive Enzymes to promote healthy digestion of fats, carbohydrates, and protein. Most customers tolerate our supplements without incident; however, approximately 5 to 10% of customers (usually with an autoimmune condition) may experience an accelerated detoxification reaction.
Detoxification reactions go by many different names including healing reactions, healing crises, cleansing reactions (or) Herxheimer reactions with hallmark symptoms of nausea, headache, lethargy, dizziness and other flu-like symptoms. In this instance, detoxification reactions are generally an indication that detoxification pathways in the body are back online... cells suddenly have an opportunity to release an even greater than normal quantity of stored toxins, metabolic wastes, pathogens and unwanted material.
A detoxification reaction is more likely to occur when starting with the full suggested serving size of 3 capsules per day. If you know that you are sensitive to supplements and/or you have an autoimmune condition, you may wish to start slowly when adding this product to your current regimen.
